Having spent his career providing advisory services to Sequoia and Cohen & Company’s most affluent clients, Tom was intimately involved in the sale of hundreds of millions of dollars of life insurance involving complex, multi-million dollar policies.
A Certified Financial Planner, Tom has worked closely with professional advisors throughout his career. His background has given him a unique understanding of your needs and concerns as well as the ability to speak your language in supporting and assisting you and your clients.

DIRECTOR OF INSURANCE MARKETING
As Director of Insurance Marketing for our partner, Valmark Financial Group, Luke is responsible for advanced life insurance case design, product analysis, and the development of analytical and educational tools to assist our clients with their financial goals. He brings almost a decade of experience in the life insurance space working in roles at both a carrier home office and the independent agency environment. Mr. Ehinger holds a bachelor’s degree from Trine University and has his Series 6 and 63 registrations. He is also a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and holds a Certification in Long Term Care® (CLTC®).
CRAIG WELCH, CFP®,CLU®
Craig Welch is Managing Director of Strauchon and Company, LLC where he is responsible for developing customized life insurance plans designed to integrate with sophisticated Business Succession and Estate Plans for the UHNW clients of the advisors with whom we work. Craig is an 18-year industry veteran who began his career at Valmark where he served as a consultant to over 40 advisors in 18 states. Craig also worked for seven years for Key Private Bank’s Insurance Group as a national specialist dedicated to quality, unbiased third-party support in the areas of financial planning and insurance for ultra-affluent individuals, their families and business owners. Craig received a BBA in Corporate Finance and Financial Services from the University of Akron and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Chartered Life Underwriter®.
CHRIS BOTTARO, MBA
Chris Bottaro is the Vice President of Insurance Services with our partner, ValMark Financial Group. He is responsible for the vision, strategy and execution of life insurance underwriting and new business initiatives. Formerly, Chris was an Underwriting Account Executive at Lincoln Financial Group where he led a team of 25 underwriters and new business associates through strategic initiatives aimed at making the life insurance process simpler and more efficient for advisors and their clients. He has an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts and a BA in Economics from Boston College.

VP, ADVANCED MARKETS
As Vice President of Advanced Markets, Michael works primarily with a select group of Valmark member firms, their clients, and clients’ advisors to implement advanced wealth transfer and business planning techniques that leverage the use of life insurance. With over 28 years of experience and a deep understanding of complex estate planning techniques, Michael works closely with both our life insurance case design and financial planning teams to create client deliverables that help illustrate how these techniques and strategies can maximize the ability for clients to efficiently transfer intergenerational wealth.
CHRIS FINEFROCK, MBA, CFP®
FINANCIAL & RETIREMENT PLANNING SPECIALIST
Chris Finefrock is the Vice President of Financial Planning with our partner, ValMark Financial Group. In his role, he oversees and is a resource for the team responsible for all aspects of design and implementation of various insurance and advisory solutions intended to assist clients with risk management and reaching their retirement accumulation and/or distribution goals. Chris holds a BS degree in Financial Services and an MBA in Finance from The University of Akron. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
MICHAEL MICHLITSCH, CRPC®, CFS
VP, IN FORCE INSURANCE SOLUTIONS
As the VP of In Force Insurance Solutions for our partner, Valmark Financial Group, Michael Michlitsch is responsible for integrating strategies and solutions for in force life insurance business. Michael is responsible for the Valmark Policy Management Company and Valmark’s Life Settlement Advocacy division. Previously, he was Manager of Practice Management at Securian Financial Services, Inc., a Senior Training Manager for Woodbury Financial Services, Inc., and Sales Manager for Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. Mr. Michlitsch earned his MBA from the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas and his BA in Management and Marketing from Bethany Lutheran College. He is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ and carries the following Financial Services Designations: CFS, CIS, CES, CAS and CTS. In addition, he holds Series 7, 24 and 66 registrations as well as Life, Health, and Variable Life and Annuity licenses.
KEITH MILLER, MBA, CLU®, ChFC®
Keith Miller is Vice President of Insurance Planning with our partner, ValMark Financial Group. In his role, he is responsible for customized wealth transfer solutions, holistic life insurance design, and carrier and product analysis. Keith brings extensive experience in wealth transfer planning from his previous positions in senior management with Highland Capital Brokerage and NFP. Keith is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®). He has been a national presenter at the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU) annual conference and has been featured and published in industry publications. Keith received an MBA in Finance from the University of Alabama and a BA from Samford University.

Michael Noss is a Senior Underwriter at ValMark Financial Group. In his role, he is responsible for the design and management of underwriting for special risk cases and serves our key contact for any underwriting issues. He has over 25 years of experience in the underwriting industry and is a national speaker on topics such as challenging underwriting impairments and large face-amount policies. Michael is a Fellow with the Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU) and a member of the Twin Cities Association of Home Office Underwriters.
PHIL JACKSON, MBA, CLU®, CFP®
MANAGING DIRECTOR OF INSURANCE MARKETING
Phil Jackson is the Managing Director of Insurance Marketing for our partner, Valmark Financial Group. In his role, he provides insurance-focused planning solutions to our clients, including estate analysis and business and retirement planning strategies. He is specialized in both life and long-term care insurance. Mr. Jackson’s focus is to help solve problems and find creative solutions that uniquely address our clients’ needs. In addition to his Series 7 and 24 registrations as well as Ohio Life, Health and Variable licenses, Mr. Jackson is a Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional. He holds a BA in Marketing and Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and an MBA from Palm Beach Atlantic University.
